Anderson is located in the northwest region of South Carolina along the state line of Georgia and below Clemson and Greenville and part of the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson metropolitan area. Anderson City is located geographically at the center of the county, ideally on the southern border of the Interstate 85 corridor.
